The Interfulgent Institute offers 3 levels of membership:

Associate

For trainee energy therapists and those transferring in from other organisations prior to submitting the paperwork and evidence required for full membership.

Also for members who are unable to evidence the required levels of Continued Professional Development (CPD), or who are taking time out from their practice.

Member

For full members who have met the requisite level of training through completing a course administered by the Interfulgent Institute or evidence of a similar or superior level of training at another organisation.

This level of membership will confer:

  • the possibility of applying for Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) membership, which is helpful for obtaining posts as a complementary therapist / healer within the NHS (UK national health service)
  • the option to register for professional indemnity insurance as an Energy Therapist via Balens, specialist insurance brokers for health & wellbeing professionals & organisations

To maintain this level of membership, Continued Professional Development (CPD) is required, with a minimum of 35 hours per year. This can be a mixture of formalised advanced training, workshops, reading and journaled self-reflection. CPD is essential to ensure that members keep their healing and professional skills up-to-date, continue their personal development, and contribute positively to healing as a respected discipline.

Supervisor

For members who have at least 5 years of experience after obtaining their qualification. This would usually involve seeing an average of at least 10 clients a month to obtain the necessary exposure to many different client scenarios, and being under regular supervision (at least monthly is recommended) during that time with an experienced energy therapist or energy-aware psychotherapist who works in a supervisory capacity.

The Interfulgent Institute holds a list of Supervisor members who are able to provide on-going supervision to Members and Associate Members.
